Four bottles in a nice row

I bought four (of five) bottles of Rogue’s Brew 10,000 from Whole Foods to serve at our wedding for the beer lovers out there. Brewed once in late 2006, it sold out quickly and to find that many in one place is amazing… At $22 a pop for 750ml bottles I can only hope that it was stored properly in the mean time. I keep feeling like I should have grabbed that fifth one as well. I keep telling myself that I left the last one for someone else to enjoy…

Natalie exemplifies Hulu.com

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

The new video streaming site Hulu.com isn’t so interesting from a video streaming standpoint as it has already been done, but the ability to embed Network owned video onto your blog. As a free service (with seemingly minimal advertising) it is pretty compelling even with a smaller lineup than some others.

I know I’ll be wasting some time here. Too bad that they leverage Flash, so no iPhone viewing for the moment.

To take it to the next level, they let you even pull a smaller clip out of the larger video. Check out the spoiler to one of my favorite movies currently available after the jump.

A Veritable Panoply of Segmented Refuse.

Having ostracized the majority of the sentient world, I strive to accentuate my overly unctuous existence. Through challenging oneself with distinct provocations and a verisimilitude of inquisitiveness, I push the boundaries of curmudgeonly phraseology with the goal of attaining the extreme frontiers of obsequious penmanship, an expression I wield grandiosely imprecise. Having delved deeply into morass-like soliloquy, I emerge victoriously with, a Gunning-Fog tally or twentyfive, a Flesch-Kincaid of eighteen point eight and a resound, single digit count, without dispute or contention, of six with regards to the Fleish Index.

To wit, prior to acknowledging the originator, astounding levels of lexical acuity were bumptiously demonstrated. Afterwards, comprehensive readability unsatisfyingly intensified tenfold. With considerable gratitude, I bestow appreciation towards the creators of the pithily monikered “Word Statistics Plugin 1.0 for WordPress” forged by the veritable centurion, John Watson of flagrantdisregard.com.

Entertaining Johnny Depp » Japan Probe

I found this on Boing Boing last night. I’m a big fan of Johnny Depp and I know that he is a weird dude, but when someone (or an entire culture) can out weird him I am always surprised.

I’ve included the YouTube vids below the jump.

Well, you’ve got to start somewhere. Again…

As always, I start things and never finish. I’ve had several blogs over the years and have managed to post to them only a few dozen times. Mostly it was the exercise in creation and then once finished, I’ll leave it by the wayside.

Why write your own blog software if you’re not going to bother posting to it?

So, with the help of Flock and a little renewed motivation. Let’s hope and pray that I’ll…

Ha ha, just kidding.

The Worst Concievable Disaster

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

Well, it has been awhile…

On February 25, at in indetermit time and after 331 days up, the faithful debian server went down.  And went down hard.

It survived two consecutive weeks of threatend, building wide power outages and the idle hands of countless techs looking for scavenged parts. (No!  Bad tech!  *smack*)  With just 35 days to go, a suite wide poweroutage is what finnaly took it down.

A Brilliant Idea.

Friday, February 17th, 2006

While watching Olympic Ice Dancing (yes, Olympic Ice Dancing… Its not my fault.), my lovely fiance came up with the idea of the year.

Three words: Strippers on Ice

Granted we’ve been drinking to calm her back spasms brought on her love of shoveling snow. I was just drinking to keep her company…

Once again: Strippers on Ice

The idea has captivated us both.

Good night and God bless. (alcohol)

Emelio - First Night Home

We’ve got a new “little” guy at the the house to keep us company. I mean little, however, in the loosest of terms. He’s a big white kitty that we rescued from the Humane Society. He’ll spend the next few days in the bathroom until he has gotten used to us and the sounds of our home and neighborhood.

I think he is finally sleeping.

He was rattling the closed door on it’s hinges. He’s that kind of big.
